The Outdoor Council of Australia (OCA), in partnership with its national member organisations, is hoping to bring the outdoor industry to the heart of Australia’s political landscape on 3rd March 2026.
But to do this, we need the support of our industry, and we are inviting our partners to join with us in putting the Outdoors in Focus. This is a strategic platform to educate, inspire, and forge meaningful relationships with federal decision-makers at a time when the role of outdoor recreation, education, health, and tourism has never been more important.
With the support of registered national lobbyist Fifty Acres, OCA is working to ensure we connect with our parliamentary friends. This is a rare chance for our industry to directly demonstrate its value, innovation, and national impact across economic, social, cultural, health, environmental, youth development, and wellbeing outcomes.
The opportunity exists for a curated expo of outdoor experiences, featuring interactive displays, bushcraft demonstrations, and the presence of leading state and national outdoor bodies. Organisations have the opportunity to engage one-on-one with policymakers, share stories of impact, and strengthen public policy awareness.
A limited number of expo spaces are available, each offering:
✔ Premium display area in Mural Hall
✔ Two (2) event passes
✔ High-visibility engagement with political leaders and staff
✔ Opportunity to activate your space with interactive elements
Investment: $9,000 + GST (Members of OCA receive priority access).
If your organisation contributes to Australia’s outdoor future, and you want to add your voice to advocacy on policy areas, this is your moment to elevate your voice where it matters most.
Our industry is at a turning point. With rising concerns about sedentary behaviour, declining youth physical activity, mental health challenges, and the need for future-ready skills, the outdoors provides one of the most accessible, scalable, and effective solutions.
Outdoors in Focus is our collective opportunity to tell that story—clearly, proudly, and directly to those shaping national policy.
“If we want strong national support for outdoor recreation, health, education, and tourism, we must show policymakers the power, professionalism, and passion of our sector. Outdoors in Focus is our moment to do exactly that.” – Lori Modde
Spaces are limited and will be offered first to OCA Members, then to industry partners. To express your interest, please RSVP by:
